The Toric IOL platform has been implanted in over 70 million eyes worldwide. It offers freedom from glasses or contact lenses for distance, however, you will still require glasses for reading.
ReStor
In the FDA’s clinical study, about 80% of patients receiving the ReSTOR IOL reported that they didn’t have to wear glasses for any activities, be in near or far. Out of those patients, nearly 94% of them said they would have the ReSTOR IOL implanted again if given the chance.
Crystalens
The Crystalens is also the first of it’s kinds to mimic the contraction of the muscles in the eye to accommodate and focus at all distances. The main difference between Crystalens and other multifocal lenses is that the Crystalens uses technology to accommodate and allow clear vision at all distances instead of just multiple distance that are divided into various zones of vision.
Crystalens can also significantly lower halos and glare around lights.
